Bed on a boat trailer makes a good overland trailer haha
Went down the trailer rabbit hole before the flatbed cuz kids,
then fell into a little toy hauler camper and the trailer I built just sits.
Happen to take it out the other day cuz my hitch hauler still mounted on it

That is in southern VT. Great trail if you arent scared of winching and body damage.

I made that truckbed trailer mostly cause it was funny. Plus it was nice not having to break down camp to go wheeling.

 

I have property in West Wardsboro. Me and some buddies have been on the class 4s around there with our trucks and bikes. Def a good time

i would highly recommend putting a leash cable on both the cotter pin and hitch pin for the tailgate. i can't even begin to count how many of those i've accidentally lost, or damaged by leaving in a crushable spot "so i don't forget it"...

at the very least, tie the cotter pin to the hitch pin

Using a tractor bucket as a press brake is great to see.

 

It’s was a topic of discussion with my local buddies. As of now I’m not gonna leash the cotter pins. Couple reasons, one being my fat finger fits perfectly in the hole to pull the pin and don’t wanna feel anything but the pin when I pull it. Two being I spent a little time making the main pin smooth going in and out but they don’t rattle.. even if I lost a cotter pin the main pin wouldn’t easily release itself. Or I can carry a couple spare cotter pins. I do think it’s a good idea but gonna wait to see if it’s necessary and if I think differently about it when/if I lose one.
