Looking forward to some "Beach Time!"

I'm so glad there's a beach close to home for us.

I'm gonna check out Roosevelt Inlet in Lewes...do some strolling early around 8am and then head over to Rehoboth to snag a parking spot before the mad rush. lol

My fave hangout for Blue Crab is Claws...they have ideal Happy Hour food/drinks at the Bar.

It's worth a trip!

I think next year (or maybe '27) will mark 30 years of my family going each summer

 

That’s awesome! I love family trips like that, always a good time.

 

It's gone through big variations of which family members are/aren't there, a few times it's just been my immediate family and other times it's all of the extended family which in the past used to be like 10 people total but now I think we're approaching 30

 

That is an "Awesome" tradition!

 

I'll be at work until just after 1pm before heading home to pick up wife then head up north.

It's been a mad week so far with today being the busiest day.

One more day before I give up the rotating Stand-By phone!

 

Just got back from Wilmington, DE.

Son-in-law offered to drive my wife to Philly airport so I could get back home sooner.

I ended up going to 2nd in Charles looking for some DVDs/Blu-Rays.

Found what I was looking for and a couple more:

Wife landed safely in England.

 

Great to hear! We have an insulation company coming out tomorrow. They are going to fix and seal areas in our attic, add a solar exhaust fan, properly vent the bathroom fans and add insulation. Right now he said we’re sitting at about an R10-15 with about 5” of insualtion. They are going to add 15-18” of insulation to get the attic to at least R60. This should help a lot with heating and cooling issues.

Yeah, it's amazing the difference insulation makes. Even though our home was built in 1999, it wasn't completely insulated as we have it now.

Because of all the angles/corners, it really is tough to seal it completely/100%.

I hope it all works out smoothly!

Hola! Nothing for the next few months, just working a bunch and then headed out west in the fall.

I just broke down and finally called Tru Green to come treat my lawn. The weeds are taking over lol

 

Cool, my neighbor...looking forward to story/pics.

I had TruGreen for years but quit them a couple years back.

Been adding top soil for patchy areas, weed/feed, watering...and I still have a hard time getting completely rid of crab grass.

I'll keep maintaining it in the same way moving forward since grass has progressively gotten fuller/greener.

Good luck with your lawn improvement plan.

 

I would have no grass if I didn't have crab grass.

 

If I don't continue with my weed/feed, it will all turn to "Crabby Grass!"
