They’re not the same washers, they include the wrong size for the bottom of the tube. Which creates a rubbing noise inside of the tube. Their frame plate doesn’t fit the frame as well since they removed bends and we must have difference definitions of excellent weld quality:D

Similar in looks is far different than identical. Just my .02. But it’s a free market! People will go with the good marketing.

You’re correct. I’m primarily a one man shop and production keeps me plenty busy but I am looking to open up installations here in the next few months again after things settle with the new shop. Currently laying on a not so comfortable hospital couch. My wife and I had our first boy last night! So that’ll be another change :D

I know your pain first hand, I used to help out at a dyno shop - he was a one man band as well, never enough hours in a day and attempting to keep everyone happy was impossible.

Congratulations to you and your family, hopefully everyone healthy and adjusts quickly

I have been a busy little bee this past week or so with installing a lot of goodies.

    1. Installed the MESO interior dome and map lights (no pic).
    2. Changed out the vent rings and control knobs with cavalry blue from MESO. Changed out the push start and radio knobs from AJT.

What is AJT? A larger cup holder but in black if they have it would be of interest to me.

My days of crawling under vehicles to wrench on things or change the oil are over.
But, my wife and I have a lanolin-based product applied to the underside yearly as we live in NYS where salt is both mined and used heavily on the roads.
Here's a video from a DIY person. This guy's dedication to application is impressive.

Looks exactly like the 4WP rock sliders I got on their liquidation sale. Perhaps the design was purchased by another vendor and just cut their own design in place of the 4WP logo? Anyway, I quite like mine; especially at the price of like, $299 shipped to my door on the liquidation sale last year! $1400 seems a little steep for this style to me, I'd probably go with the Cali Raised 20 degree at that price!

That's correct, these are the same as the 4WP sliders. I believe 4WP sold all the IP to Smittybilt for these, the front & rear bumpers, and a bunch of other parts. Similarly to what redneck said, these were a no brainer bargain for $300 bucks. With that said, I wouldn't pay $1400 for these, ever. IMO these wouldn't be worth anything over $600 new. The quality is decent but the hardware it came with could have been a lot better. They welded nuts to plates that you insert into the frames and those welds were shit. Had to reweld them after a few broke after tightening. My biggest gripe was the 4WP logo cutout (that's now a Smittybilt logo) has a small gusset underneath it that's only tack welded inside the slider. That weld broke pretty quickly leaving that gusset to rattle around inside. By far one of the most annoying noises. I cut the logo out and cut off as much of the gusset as possible and just rivnutted a plate overtop of it to keep it looking clean. If I ever need to replace these sliders, I'm going with a real US based vendor that makes quality stuff.

    IMG_1259.jpg

If you like the looks of these sliders, Saints Offroad has a similar looking slider that's built much better and those guys are super friendly and helpful.
