    Morning all:

Cool pic. of a bobcat, seen occasional tracks, but only ever saw one.

Interesting stories about the record Grizzly bears, shooting one with a .22 at close range would definitely not be on my bucket list , that lady had to have nerves of steel!

It is likely the only head shot that would penetrate the very thick skull of the Grizzly, she shot the bear in the eye. She was a very talented Cree woman.

Speaking of tape measures... I want to congratulate and give a raise to the guy that invented tape measures that lock automatically when they are extended. Holy cow, that was about as brilliant as anything gets. I will never buy a tape that has to be locked to keep the tape out, again. Ever...

I tried that. I think there are other food sources around the area, the ‘nuts’ that I set in the bait didn’t trigger its attention :annoyed:

Sometime around late spring in 1998 a friend and I were hiking near the Markleeville, CA area. We started out on dry ground but got into the snow level after an hour or so and were in the snow for maybe an hour or so. Stopped to have lunch on one of the high points in the area and then took a slightly different route back to intersect our original trail. When we hit our original trail, there were cougar tracks next to ours. Made for a great story soaking in the hot springs later that evening.

Sorry about your brother, hope he heals quickly. for a positive outcome with your exam. First grand daughter wonder if she will be spoiled.

I could not find both of my tape measures yesterday so I broke out the yardstick.

Good morning. Positive results from the doctor yesterday. My left patella will never mend but scar tissue will form to fill in the void. Doc was happy that I have no pain and with the movement of my leg. He cleared me to get back in the gym and work on building up strength in my legs. We went over how he wants me to build strength in my legs. My next orthopedic visit is in November.

Going out fir dinner tonight for my son's birthday, his request, he wants to hear a friend preform.
