so I completely trashed both rotator cuff's (not at the same time) and was told that you get shots, and it fucks up yer shoulder and you cant get it fixed correctly...so I was told, amirite @Tacotsubo ??

well, maybe, maybe just a little bit and I had to have both repaired....
Some research suggests that cortisone injections
may have a negative impact on the future repair of a torn rotator cuff, especially if administered close to the time of surgical repair or if multiple injections are given.
Potential concerns include:

Weakening of the tendon: Corticosteroids can degrade collagen, decrease fibroblast proliferation, and interfere with the normal biomechanics of tendons, potentially weakening them and increasing the risk of retears after surgery.
Increased risk of infection: Some studies indicate a slightly increased risk of infection after cortisone injection, particularly when administered within one month of surgery.
Reduced healing potential: Steroids can suppress the body's natural healing processes and may negatively affect the bone-tendon junction, which is crucial for successful rotator cuff repair.

However, other studies have shown no negative effect on surgical outcomes or have found that injections can be helpful in managing pain and facilitating rehabilitation. One study, for instance, found no significant difference in reoperation rates or patient outcomes at 2 years following rotator cuff repair, even if a cortisone injection was given within one year prior to surgery.
