    ^My post was made in jest. If door edge paint chips are a concern, you'd just leave the edge guards in place. :rolleyes: PPF isn't substantial enough to protect the paint if you open the door against a concrete wall.

    Sure, if you slam your door into the wall hard as you can, it might get through the PPF.

    In normal practice though it does actually work - I've had it on my vehicles for years and it's avoided chips the couple of times a door has swung a bit further open than intended.

    This is the stuff that prevents paint chips from kicked up road debris...
