I had the equivalent setup in my mountain truck. This truck needs (really really really wants) it!

Just resurrecting this thread. I've done a lot of mods to my rig, but this one is the BEST!

I just got done testing it, and in 4LO + the 4.7 TacoBox engaged, this thing could crawl up a cliff at idol...it's ridiculous in such a good way.
The availability of these boxes for a 3rd Gen 6sp is patchy, but there are still making them.

I had Stellar Built in Sacramento do the install and they did an awesome job. Turns out, with the manual trans this is really quite a simple mod....no cutting, hacking, or custom work needed. Pretty much bolt in and go....except for the new custom rubber and shift boot I still need to figure out.

Those two extra parts are for the Manual Trans? Please clarify. I have a Marlin box sitting in the shop for when I get around to it for my Auto Trans. There was no mention of those extra parts for the Auto Trans.

OK, finally found it on the Marlin site:

"Required Installation Note for 6MT: In order to install a TacoBox into a 6-speed manual application you must also swap your 6-speed manual transmission-type 22-spline t/case input gear to that of an automatic transmission-type 23-spline t/case input. This requires partially disassembling your transfer case in order to swap the input of the planetary gear set. Update: We now offer a Genuine Toyota 23-spline automatic input — Click here to view! "

For the OP and the resurrector of this thread, there is a thread or two on this subject I will have to review when I get around to installing mine, plus a few YouTube videos as well.
