I just installed the TC bed stiffeners on my 3rd gen....all went well except one issue and I was curious if anyone else encountered something similar.

Passenger side I had issues with the stack of washers that you reuse and I am wondering if I either have a warped bed, or this is just a defect from Toyota.

My factory hook always sat above the bed liner a bit and I never really thought much of it. When I tried to reuse the washer stack it was simply too tall to get the TC stiffener to sit flat against the floor of the bed liner. I had to to remove a washer from the stack to get it to sit flush. It looks like there is a bunch of extra material on top of the threads for the screw that raises the surface up higher than normal. I am wondering if this is why the factory hook sat slightly above. I had already installed the driver side so I wasn't able to compare and didn't want to remove it.

The plastic trim piece on the top of the sides of the bed also doesn't meet flush like the driver side does. When parked on flat ground, the tail gate gap seems to be pretty even.

    Thoughts?

    DRIVER - flush

PASSENGER - not flush, but I can push it down by hand to sit more flush than it does naturally.
