@Kwikvette You ever do any custom loop water?

 

Just one on an old 6700K build using old school EK products back in the day

I only ran it to my CPU and not my GPU cause water blocks were money back then

 

Interesting to see a pewter Pearl 98

 

If I did one again, it'd have to be dedicated to the GPU and its memory.

And that's only if for some reason something like a 4080 or 4090 fell onto my lap.

 

Used 3090 still the best value

 

I don't need a gpu at all, plus a 3090 runs hot like hell

Wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless it's $500 or less.

I know they come up often at about $550 to $625

 

Next project idea for you. Matching kwikfab shop cart.

How gaming on a 3090 feels

 

late model shit is annoying. been chasing an erratic shifting issue for years on the ford. reflash TCM, relearn TCM, over and over. had several shops sanity check and find nothing wrong. probably gonna jinx myself but i think i got it sorted?

when i pulled the upper intake to do preventative maintenance on the fuel system I found one of the gaskets rolled and that tiny boost leak was apparently enough to get the ECU/TCM do funky stuff. put it back together with new gaskets and it shifts so much more confidently than before lol

 

Well that went A LOT faster than those stupid stones… Stool build can actually start now!

 

I disassembled this whole DVD/VCR combo because I desperately wanted to fix it, rather than buying a replacement for $75+ on eBay. No luck and other forum posts indicate this model sort of sucks.

I’ve been digitizing old home VHS-C tapes but took a break. When I started back up yesterday it ate the tape. Thankful I always start with a trash tape and it killed a recording of Batman begins instead of cherished family memories lol.

lol yeaa you could easily shadow the cost of the original components with nice blocks and rads. sure has changed eh
