    Hi:
    John Brock here, from Woodway, Washington.
    I purchased a 2004 Tacoma from a friend and I'm having fun getting to know it. It's the 4-door model, V6, PreRunner, with the 5-foot bed. 184k miles and has been well cared for.

    I retired a year ago from end-user and developer software support at Rhino. My formal education is in civil engineering. I've always been mechanically inclined, and enjoy figuring out how things work.
    This morning, I'm headed to a custom upholstery shop to see about having the driver's seat in the Tacoma rebuilt, reupholstered, and perhaps mildly customized to be more comfortable but still look like it belongs. The 21-year old stock seat has seen better days...
