Can confirm that rain is intense here, state fair park is flooded out, tons of lightning too. Those of you guys at Tigerton seem to have been spared tonight.

Weather update for the MKE area folks - Tosa saw 7 inches of rain overnight and the Menomonee River is about 15 feet high, 3-4 feet above normal flood levels. Thankfully no or minimal power outages and it seems like most roadways are clear outside of low lying areas.

Really making me think about a sump pump now

I headed up to a spot I haven't been to in 20+yrs. Snuck by, rain free, until the drive home this afternoon where it was white out conditions.
Off hwy 107 N. The campground isn't much but a place to sleep. (appears like free electricity now).20250809_213738.jpg 20250810_065443.jpg
But up stream is some great hiking (ice age trail) and fishing. 20250810_071514.jpg20250810_073342.jpg20250810_082327.jpg 20250810_081916.jpg 20250810_083842.jpgGot skunked, except for a bunch of rock bass. (Which is the equivalent of getting skunked).

    Sump pumps are NOT over-rated.

Is that Camp New Wood? I've been up and down 107 a few times looking for good shore access. I've stayed at Council Grounds a few times, which is a pretty nice park, also. I always like finding the campgrounds with less traffic, which is probably why a few of my favorite spots are closed down now. :(
