    Hi,

my 2015 Tacoma 4cyl auto 2wd is approaching 300,000 miles.

I have been drain & fill transmission fluid with genuine Toyota transmission fluid regardless of miles every year. It has been no issue with transmission - drives like new!

But i have never changed the transmission filter nor have done full flush.

Any suggestions, comments, concerns for changing transmission filter?

    Thank you!

I wouldn’t recommend a flush, drain and fill is what I suggest. On the 5 speed auto, the filter is only a screen type, so an inspection is all that is really needed.

Dropping the pan, cleaning the magnets and checking the screen is a good idea if you never have. Someone else will chime in if the 4 speed has a different type of filter. The filter isnt that expensive if you want to replace it anyways
