No. In order to accomplish that mission, it seems it would be more difficult than just running independent wires for the speakers themselves.

the doors on the 08 have 7 wires, the doors on the 2013 have 5 wires. This also means the harness in the cab is different; the harness that runs through the sill plates. So you’d have to swap that harness too. Then, when i got up under the dash, i realized if i did that, then the dash harness would have no where for those wires to plug into. So i’m just going to get a roll of speaker wire and wire them in manually when i swap over my apple car play radio and build the new harness for it.

shouldnt be a problem, my day job has me wiring small electrical components all day. So i should be able to do it cleanly this time. The wiring in the blue truck was always an absolute DISASTER.

Bin should be the same. I was talking about the covers too. The covers allow it to be more spacious

yuuup i always hated that about the 15 access cab i had! they put tiny little speakers in the headliner btw! so if you need wiring to tap into try those.

I couldnt stand it rattling :anonymous:

I heard that, but i couldnt confirm it. I dont really want to eliminate any speakers, so hopefully it wont be too much of a pain to wire these two extra rear ones in. Maybe i can just tap them into those headliner speakers and run them together in series?

haha i never heard mine rattle thankfully!

so when i got my 15 the audio sucked and i found out someone adjusted the audio to the rear seats fully...i started trying to figure it out and yup tiny little speaker in the headliner! i have a link or a picture of one in my 15s build thread.

im not sure if you can run them together since the power to the little ones would be less but maybe? im not a big audio person.

Eventually I want to do a whole audio rebuild. Guess I'll have to add older door cards to my shopping list so that I can throw some good door speakers in. I might even put the 6.5s I have in the door back there and install some proper 6x9s up front.

You wouldn't be losing much, iirc they're the kind that vibrate the headliner, they technically aren't even speakers.

Also the 12volt solutions remote start kit was an absolute bitch to install. 30 minute install my ass. Probably took me 3 hours. And now i have a stupid blue blinking light on the antenna that drives me nuts.

additionally, it wont let me use my keyless entry when its been remote started. So i have to unlock the driver’s side door with the key (since there is no lock cylinder on the passenger side) whenever the remote start is active
