Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
That doesn't matter. Date of manufacture is your concern. Tires stare off-gassing from the moment they are removed from the mold.

As for the sidewall...it doesn't look from your picture that the carcass is damaged. I'd run them without a qualm.

Don't worry about the penny, the tire has built in wear indicators you can use.

These are raised bars between the treads, running crossways across the tire. Once the tire tread wears down to even with those bars, you are due for a replacement (some would say beyond due).

45th week of 2022 is less than 3 years ago, I think people are being dramatic on the age.

I drove a long time on a tire with a nice gash in the sidewall, probably wouldn't do it these days. I'd poke my finger in there and think about how deep it is. Tire sidewalls are a lot thinner than you'd think.

I'd most likely replace it. And if tread depth is more than half of that of a new tire, I'd probably replace just the one, but depending on wear, you may want to replace two.

FYI, that little triangle you can see in your picture should be pointing at the wear bar.

I wonder how many practically good tires go to waste every year because people paranoidly replace them.

Probably ten times the number that blow out on the highway, and a hundred times those that blow out and cause a crash, and two hundred times those that blow out and cause a crash with a fatality.

Idk but I've seen alot more questionable tires on vehicles than ones that were replaced as a precaution.

Personally I'd rather have good tires than questionable ones, if it's 8-10 years old and/or looks questionable I'm replacing it unless it's on something that just get's driven around town or or offroad/county roads at low speeds.

When they're the only thing between your truck and the road I don't think its "paranoia" to be concerned.

Tires are almost 3 years old. If you drive an average amount of miles you're getting close to needing new tires anyway. I'd buy 4 new ones and have one of the other 3 moved to the spare. I always have the best old tire rotated to the spare position every time I buy new tires. If you can't afford 4 now buy 2 and put them on the rear. Buy 2 more within the next couple of months. LESS than 5000 miles down the road.
