    Hello all,

Been lurking on this site for a while checking out builds, and wishing that I owned a Tacoma. Just bought my first one 3 days ago.

I always wanted a 3rd gen, but found this 2009 Tacoma PreRunner with under 80,000 miles and just couldn’t pass it up due to the price and condition. It was gently used by one previous owner who was disabled and only used it for running errands.

The current plan is to add a Bluetooth stereo/GPS system, and then focus on finding the right lift/tire size combo. I’ve seen a lot of great builds on here, but I think the one that I like most is this build by jakes09taco, featuring the exact same year 4 cylinder model as mine. (I love the 285 tires!)

Obviously this truck is just going to be a pavement princess, with me only using it to drive to and from work, and hopping an occasional curb to get to our fishing spot.

While I really like the build mentioned above, I’d be interested in any advice or suggestions from other members for other builds and mods. Preferably when it comes to shocks. This isn’t a 4x4, so obviously I won't be doing any off-roading, but ALL of the main roads here in Little Rock are absolutely horrendous. Some of these pot-holes and asphalt patches will straight up snatch your soul if you’re not careful, lol. I’ve read through some of the mod pages and FAQ’s, but I’m still a little overwhelmed. So, I’d love to hear any suggestions that others may have for better shocks/absorbers or other modifications for a smoother ride.

    Other future planned mods include:
    Smoke LED headlights
    Running boards
    Raptor Grille (or some variation)
    Bushwacker Flares
Inner Fender wheel liners (if compatible)

Looking forward to chatting with you all and showing my progress!

    - Jason
