Ordered some ibuprofen and I got it yesterday.

Would have hated to have ordered anything bigger. Would have filled up the recycling container.

UPS delivered a day early, and despite sending delivery instructions to the outboard dealer and a request to UPS to notify the driver not to pack the 40 lb. package to the second floor, I missed intercepting the driver to help load it into the ground floor garage and the back of the Tacoma. So... he carried it up the stairs and left it in front of the door, upside down. I unwound the plastic wrap from the top, then noticed oil soaking the packing paper and cardboard. Not much so it's cleaning up nicely. Probably drive it out to Tobler Marina to have them check it out and pick up some parts tomorrow. 7-1/4 x 5 prop standard. and I have a spare 7-1/4 x 6... 20250813_144047[1].jpg Good thing our dumpster's tipped on Thursdays. :amen:

Finally getting lights on to the latest unit. Everything turns on and works when you use it. What a concept, eh?

Trimming out a unit my former employer roughed in himself. Perfect placement for the exterior outlet, right smack in the middle of the stud. *chefs kiss*

WTCW (What The Customer Wants...) followed by "CE" (Changes Extra).
Thursday morning, loaded the Yamaha outboard in the back of the Tacoma and took the papers into Tobler Marina's Service Dept. shortly after they opened. The pleasant young man at the counter took me back to meet Tony holding down the Parts Dept. (older guy, naturally). I handed him my list of parts and supplies, with serial number, to cover the first two oil changes (after 10-hour break-in, and the first at the normal interval) and Tony said to everyone that came through, "He came in with the serial number and parts list!" They're busy as a lot of people are bringing their boats in to be winterized. "There's still September... but after Labor Day most of the private jets leave from the nearby airport for the winter." Got home, set the outboard yoke on a sawhorse for more wiping oil from the inside of the cowling, unscrewing the tight dipstick to add 6 ounces of Yamaha 10w30, about half the capacity. Picked up the first gallon of non-ethanol gas and added stabilizer/conditioner, so we're getting close to installation and start.
That afternoon, kept grandkids occupied for a couple hours before we all followed a realtor up the North Fork Coeur d'Alene River to look at a hand-hewn one-room cabin on 3 acres up a dusty road of switchbacks (built in 2018). Dry elevation, requiring thinning of trees for a view across the steep valley, leveling the cabin and putting in a stable foundation... We'll keep looking, as prices come down slowly. Nobody wants to take a loss even with inflated prices and devalued currency.
    Have a great weekend!
