I think that whatever we get this time won’t be kept long term. Most likely trade it in at 80-100K. I don’t have much confidence in any new vehicles going to high mileage like our current Toyotas without major or expensive repairs.

Have any of you watched Toyota World Runners on YouTube? They built an old Toyota RV and drove to the tip of South America. It was a great series. I just saw that the two of them, Matt and Stacy died in an off-roading accident a couple days ago. Very sad. RIP. :(

A docking station would be fine if I didn't still use my desktop occasionally for browsing / music / storage as I have multiple redundant HDDs, unless I got an HDMI splitter. I'd also need to move my keyboard around between machines. For what I need it's fine, just annoying. I've never seen software randomly fail to work, fail to uninstall and then fail to reinstall. Younger me would have spent days chasing it, but for now it's whatever.

It's okay the tow trucks are there. 6.8 mil bill so far.

I just heard about this when i watched Dirt lifestyle this morning......so unbelievably sad. He stated that it happened in a offroading accident. Does anyone know what exactly happened? They were such an amazing couple and awesome channel. Their Chinook build series is one of the best builds I have ever seen.

All I could find out about it is it was a rollover accident near Trout Lake British Columbia. He was pronounced dead at the scene when rescuers arrived and she died at the hospital after being airlifted out.
So sad, their were way too young but they lived more and saw more than most people will ever do.

From the article I read their truck fell off the side of a trail and came to rest 200m below. Sounded like she was ejected and found alive, passed away later at the hospital

My wife's 2014 had Continentals (I'll have to look at the exact style) when we bought it in 2019, liked them enough that she bought them again last year when it was time to replace them. They're about a 50K mile tire but that fits with her driving pattern and it gets used all year.

Reminds me of my 79 Stang I had in high school, a quart every 200 miles so not even a fillup. Mosquito killer!

I just watched the Dirt lifestyle show they were in last week. Didn't realize it was them until I saw the Dirt lifestyle message about their death.

keep us posted if you check it out or end up free of plans...one hole looked intimidating but once he got in it, i know ive run a lot deeper than that
i also have a 10k lb winch and full armor but would appreciate some other trucks out there for sure

have fun, in time im going to be running up there more often than a few times a year in the future, ill keep ya in mind @TacoTuesday603
want to scoop poor town rd too nearby there as well, the same dude runs it that i linked video

and im not sure if continuing on mtn rd, turns into old mtn, or if the turn left onto old mtn that looks like a dead end is the tough areas i hear about, but im down to poke around a bit

I followed the couple that sadly died

very unfortunate and a good reminder to expect the unexpected as best possible
and let your loved ones know you appreciate them

heard they rolled off cliff, around 100' fall, sounds like his lady got ejected
and he was stuck in vehicle. i heard he was still alive after the fall but didnt make it in hospital

apparently another youtuber was with them during this and tried to help them

    terrible

So, summer time, been working like a a$$hole.. No surprise given my trade.
Worked a ridiculous week this week. Sae the house in daylight for the first time in a week yesterday. Whatever, comes with the job right?

Anyway, so, while waiting to fire up the grill for my first dinner of the week, I went to finish installing the bike rack on the roof of my new-to-me car... opened the trunk, and was assaulted with the smell of death. :censored:

Stopped what I was doing, and tore the trunk apart. Little fker died next/under the spare. Cleaned up, aired out, sprayed some lysol to disinfect, and opened a box of baking soda and placed it in the area for the night.

Sunday. I drove the car Sunday. :angrygirl:

I'm starting to feel the fking mice are the worse thing about living up here. They're everywhere, and destroy EVERYTHING.

Now, the mission to find out where TF it got in from, and heading out shortly to see if I can find some activated charcoal for the trunk, and the cabin. Trunk is worse by far.

Can't just leave it open.. SOMETHING ELSE, will try to move in.

    I need a barn cat.
