Need rear main seal replaced, oil pan, and hoping that the engine would be dropped so I can replace the wiring harness. It was chewed through during the pandemic, and rigged by my mechanic to have the necessities. Little things, electrical are beginning to occur and it is my daily driver. My 2023 had system failure and slammed into a concrete wall, so I am in mre of a hurry to have this done.
    Any suggestions?

As far as I’m a hurry….sorry no advice

As far as the RMSeal….$18 part, tranny has to be dropped
The 3 times I have RR’d rear main seal, I always did when I had clutch assembly replaced (free labor for the seal)

    freakin 2023 yr model???

You saying your oil pan needs to be resealed as well as your rear main replaced? If so, you'll be dropping front diff and tranny. Not the easiest job if you're doing it by yourself. If I had access to a hoist and stand I probably would pull the engine instead.

    And what is system failure?

Sorry all, my 2023 was a GM product that failed! My tacoma is an 2002 with 485,009 miles. The seal is not a bad leak, but a mechanic said that when I get it replaced, I should get the oil pan replaced as well. There is some electrical issues because the wiring harness was chewed through in 2020. What pricing should I expect?

My honest opinion, don’t cheap out with aftermarket seals. They’re junk, especially if you’re using it for the RMS. Buy yourself a quality Toyota RMS and compare it to the aftermarket brand, big difference in quality and designed. I wouldn’t put low quality parts in for a job that big, that’s a costly mistake. Don’t pay twice the labor. Go with the $50 seal, not the $18.
