OK, this might be a stupid post but I have looked and looked and cannot find the part number or location of the Fuel Tank Vapor Pressure Sensor on my 2nd Gen 2009 Tacoma Pre-Runner Sport. Is it part of the fuel pump? I have looked at several fuel pumps and it says it is not included which (to me) means it is a separate part. Is it located on the charcoal cannister or what? I have smoke tested the lines, changed the purge valve and checked/replaced vac hoses and still getting the code for "Vapor leak (small)" and a CEL.
Any help would be greatly appreciated before dropping the gas tank and finding out I don't have all the parts I need.

It is integral to the Leak Detection Pump which is on the charcoal canister.

I will say most often when these throw an EVAP leak code there is a leak somewhere.

You need a smoke machine with a flow meter to determine if the system is sealed or not.

Also on these closing the Vent Valve using a bi-directional scan tool does not seal the system.
You have to cap off the vent port to seal the system so that's typically the best place to put smoke in.

Thanks for the reply Dm93! Got a new development: Sealed off the gas inlet and vent with duct tape. Blew smoke through from engine purge valve vac hose connection without seeing a leak. Drove Tacoma 20 min and CEL went out. Could I have blown loose something that was partially obstructing the vapor line or that was stuck in / on the sensor? Your, or anyone else, have thoughts on this development? Light has been on for a while but now is off.

Not sure how because the EVAP leak test runs about 5 hrs after the truck is turned off, the only EVAP test that may run with the engine running on these is the purge valve flow test.

You really want to check the entire system for leaks, the best way to do that is to put your smoke in at the vent port with the gas cap in place and the engine vacuum line removed from the purge valve so you can see if it's leaking.

    All,
    Back from trip.
Ordered OEM factory gas cap specifically for this model of Tacoma and, shortly after replacement, the light went out!
It is my hope that, as from my reading all gas caps for Toyota vehicles are NOT created equal, this will solve the problem.

Will keep the Tacoma group posted but, even the gas cap off another Toyota at the junk yard might not work, it would seem.
