Thinking about switching my black/black interior door panel to the red/black ones. My driver's door panel (2023 Limited) is showing scratches and wear marks, but I only have 16k miles. Going to ask dealer for a replacement under warranty (probably won't happen) so I was waiting on a discount sale to maybe swap all of them.
Anyone have pictures of the Red/Black combo? How are they holding up? Part numbers by chance?

Can't help you with part numbers or durability details on those red trimmed dooors, but a few thoughts:

I personally would not embarrass myself asking for warranty replacement of door panel with user induced scratches. Warranties are not there to keep your truck looking showroom new for the first 3 years or 36K miles. But I guess you have nothing to lose in asking.

There was a guy here not that long ago that bought a truck with those red trimmed doors and he hated them! He did the opposite of you and replaced them with black ones if I recall correctly. Maybe you can search and find that thread. His old ones are probably sitting in the corner of his garage.

Good luck with your quest brother!

Where did the scratches come from? I’m super hard on my truck (sand, dirt, scratches, gear, kids, more gear, spills) and my panels look really, really good still? I do have the sweet scarlet letter version that you pine for, however.

Over all, the truck is in excellent shape, but the wear marks and scratches on the driver door panel feeds my obsession with “as new” condition. I wish I could attribute it to aggressive use and abuse, but not the case. The other 3 panels are flawless…

Malvoilio… attach a few pictures whenever you have a minute. Thanks in advance.

Here ya go. You can see some dirt and sunblock on my black panels (sunblock never comes off!), and a bit on the red too, I guess? I might not be that helpful. My standards on these interior things tend to be pretty low.

I love this truck. I have it decked out just the way I want it, and the dogs and I love our rides together in it.

But if I ever find the interior engineer who thought that micro waffles would be a great choice for the upper door cards alone in a dark alley, I'd beat them senseless with a dog toy.

My dogs, in particular my old backseat boy, drooled. And he had this god-awful red Alabama clay in his feet. Together, this forms a damn-near impenetrable spackle of dog-related cement that only steam, and a LOT of it, seems to clear up. Brushing doesn't touch it. Interior cleaners don't touch it.

I'd love to replace those things with something that didn't collect the cement so naturally. Maybe a smooth vinyl or, hell, even leather. Thick leather like a vegetable-tanned saddle leather or something similar.

I had a rental a few months ago that had the red/black combo and I found it to be distracting and a little odd since the truck was black. Might be easier to tolerate if the truck was red. Door panels cost a ton of money, I would not rely on photos to make your decision. Find some to see in person before you take the leap. I guarantee you that they are not going to wear any better than the Limited trim, the materials in these trucks do not tolerate wear and scratches well at all.

If are only unhappy with that area above the armrest, an upholstery shop can replace those with whatever material you prefer. It'd probably be cheaper than 4 door panels.

If it bothers you that much just buy you a new drivers door panel.

This is the plan… just waiting on the end of summer Toyota parts sale…
A new panel is about 400.00, going to see if I can work in a warranty claim as well.

Warranty is kinda false hope unless you can prove it has a manufacturer defect.

If you wait as you say especially for the Labor Day sale you will get 25% off and 4.00 shipping to your local dealer.
