Anybody else got this clicking noise coming from adjustable lumbar area of drivers seat? It's driving me nuts took to dealer and " unable to duplicate" its mostly when entering and exiting vehicle I'm almost ready to take it apart myself at this point. Same thing happened to my 93 which is one reason I bought the new one.

I had it at first, then it went away. I don't have it any more, perhaps because I installed Clazzio covers.

my drivers seat back is also loose and clicking. it wont lock solid when you adjust it.
im not an overly big guy (5'10 185lbs) so i dont think it was me that would have broke it.

took it to dealer for oil change and they are replacing the seat but its been over a month and still no word from them on the seat arriving.
kind of annoying when the seat has an inch of play when you hit the brake and the gas pedal

I get through my day fine lol.

I was just answering his question since I have a similar issue.
I am fine with a seat being loose on a 7-14 year old vehicle. But when it comes to everytime that I hit the brakes and the seat moves forward then that is something that I would expect to not be happening.

It was actually the tech at the dealer that noticed it and asked me if I was having issues with the seat. They were more concerned for it to be a safety issue if something was broken in the event of an accident etc.

I had a similar issue with my seat clicking. I ended up moving it through the entire range of motion while out of the truck and then re-set it to a comfortable position and the noise went away.

I have the same issue with my 2016 Tacoma. Driver seat back has some movement when I move my body weight back into the seat.
Is there a fix for this or does the dealer have to replace it for a new seat?

I met with the regional service rep at the dealership after tech case opened and we tested mine against new ones on the lot they all do it when lumbar is fully out and a big guy gets in seat and adjusts to driving position click then as I come to the first stop and hit the brakes click again and again. Anyway he authorized some time to open it up and investigate it they put some felt tape in there and called it fixed but I picked it up and got in and ...click! God damn it!! I feel the same way my old 93 did the same thing and I was ok with that from a 23 yr old truck that I paid 2200 bucks for but a brand new one I paid 35k for it's unacceptable. I don't know what to do.

Take it back in and tell them you want it replaced. After trying to fix it and it didn't all that's left is to put a new lumbar assembly in.

Did you find a fix? I have a 23 TRDOR and the dealership won't even open or remove the seat to inspect the issue unless they can reproduce it. Yet, they will only test drive the truck for like 5 minutes. Unfortunately it doesn't happen like that all the time. It seems to be a weight shifting thing. I thought it was the lumbar assembly broken inside, but I'm almost positive at this point it is loose/faulty/poorly designed seat assembly and mounting track. I would sure like a resolution to this, Mine doesn't click. It thunks. Loud enough for everyone in the cab to hear it clearly. Almost like there is something that rolled under the seat and hit the metal track.
