    LOL
    ------------
    It just cracks me up the overall general differences in the three forums that I patronize daily.

    * AllFordMustangs.com
    * WranglerForum.com
    * TacomaWorld.com
    -----

    Here is my characeteristic summary of each. For your reading pleasure and entertainment value. First amendment, peeps. This is meant to be funny.

    AllFordMustangs
    * I bought just bought a high mileage junk V6 and I'm going to install the biggest supercharged engine you've ever seen!
    * I'm going to dominate the NHRA street class category!
    * But I can't afford it, right now, and I really have no clue what I'm talking about. I don't understand why my check engine light is on? I live in my Mom's basement,
    * Can someone recommend cat and muffler delete so my Mustang sounds rad? While it vibrates itself apart in the meantime?
    * Does anyone have life recommendations for me? Should I get a job?

    WranglerForum.com
    * My CEL came on. What should I do?
    * Ignore it. Check engine lights are for pu$$ies. You bought a Jeep.
    * My Jeep is leaking. Everywhere. What should I do?
    * Ignore it. Every Jeep on plant Earth leaks. That's a normal condition. You bought a Jeep. Not a Toyota. LMAO.
    * I want to install an 6" lift with 37" wheels and go off-roading. Where do I start?
    * Get your wallet out and Just Empty Every Pocket. JEEP. Whatever you do, it will break and not work as designed.

    TacomaWorld.com
    * I bought a brand new Taco and it makes this noise and there is a paint speck blemish and I want to return it. I'm so angry!
    * What does this phrase mean "Diagnostic Trouble Code"? Does that mean I got bad gasoline? Surely, Toyota should give me a new engine. Or a new truck.
    * Everything is Toyota's fault. Why does Toyota torture me like this? I don't know whether to cry or figure out how to change a headlight bulb.
    * I want a tune! What is a tune? How does that work?!?! Oh squeee! I got a tune and it my seat now massages my buttocks. It is like night and day!
    * What tire pressure are you all running?

    i'd like to encourage you to venture around the 1g, and 2g sections. vehicle cost and age plays a huge role in the forum catered to it. i think you'll find the 1g section nearer to your mustang experience, where 2g is a sort of hybrid between all three.

    i was part of the mitsubishi eclipse forum as it neared the end of production, and as the price tags plummeted from being a 'dead' model, it became what you described for the mustang group. but of course, before that, i was absolutely convinced that i was going to install an LS3 into my first car, a chrysler lebaron, and convert it to rear wheel drive...

    then there's the ft86 forum-- ie, scion fr-s/subaru brz forum. i joined that a year before the vehicle went into production. again, very different for people with enough disposable income to be able to throw $32k at a brand new platform, and then many threw an additional $10-30k into it in modifications...

    the 3rd gen section here is probably the most elitest, most financially well-off, most ignorant vehicle forum i've been a part of. expecting mclaren levels of performance, bugatti levels of paint, and ferrari levels of interior finish, all for what are now used vehicles retailing for under $40k... i actually surprised there's not a post that someone bought a new truck, and then complain about how the gas ran out 400 miles from the dealership, and how unreliable these trucks are, that the gas can't even last a full week without needing their butler to re-fill it.

    The Mustang Forum membership sounds like Emelia Hartford's fan base. And the 3rd gen Tacoma group shares some similarities with the 5th gen 4Runner crowd in that kids these days don't know what good music is nor do they understand the value of a dollar.

    The 4th gen thread where some dude coming from an awd Subaru to a 2025 Tacoma Pro and complains about the steering and wheel hop whenever he runs 4wd on the street.

    Most forums are full of people regretting their trim level (v6s when they could have a v8), tacomaworld is pretty good for it. We see very few engine swap requests here. Even drum disc conversions have died down thanks to people searching.
