It’s really light and nimble in the city with great visibility and one-two finger brakes. Kind of like a really angry and aggressive supermoto. B-Mode in 1-2 around town with its wheelie control on makes for a ton of fun without the twitchiness. Even with my stock pipe it has an incredible engine noise.

My buddy sent me this picture tonight. He was totally into 2-stroke sport bikes when he went to school to be a motorcycle mechanic. IMG_9533.jpg

Big tank helps! My bike barely holds a 7 liters (1.5 gallons?)

I really am enjoying my Speed Triple but the XSR900 in Yamaha Blue is the sh.t! Just don't understand why they didn't match the gold of the wheels to the gold of the forks... :duh:

I want to get the 2025 with the updated 5” Tft , remote preload adjustment and some electronic updates. They don’t offer blue in 25 just the heritage red/orange , white and the black and gold. I like the black with gold wheels. I wish they would have put the gold forks on it too but they are black.

    A few highlights from today.

A true "survivor" bike the owner brings this one to a lot of the area shows.

Asking $4300 I felt it was a little high for the condition.

    Anybody need a minibike trailer?

Apparently Borg did a magazine ad for them. Never heard that story before.

After walking the entire show twice I decided to move next door to a place I've driven by but never visited before but had always wanted to. Free admission with limited hours they simply ask for donations to help keep the doors open. Staff are all volunteers.

While that car came from quite a distance away this area was and still is a hotbed of auto racing in many forms.

I used to attend races there in the early 1990's until the land got sold and is not home to a Target, Best Buy, Kohl's and other stores.

South Mountain is a 1/8 mile drag strip where I spent a lot of Sundays in the late 1980's helping a friend with his car before spending some time with my own 1971 Dodge Challenger racing myself for a season.

Never saw that before, Aston Martin powered.

This was really just a drop in the bucket of the stuff on display. Dirt track cars, a few Indy cars, even some land speed record holders run at Bonneville. I will be making another trip to see more in the future.

They're pretty sweet, IMHO. The little bit littler more offroad-y version of the F800GS I have. The F650GS and G650GS's get confusing, some are singles some are twins, I don't remember which years are what and the distinctions between the two. They are one of those bikes that seems to have a small but devoted cult following. I think the earlier ones have a rotax engine, where the later ones went Loncin.

    Got a link?

Just did another 100 miles on the Klx today. I really like the riding position of this bike. My back Doesn‘t hurt at all after riding it for 2+ hours and 100miles. My butt starts to feel it a little but it’s easy to stand up and give it a break. The only thing I would like is more power. Wish Yamaha,Suzuki,Honda or Kawasaki would come out with a 500-700cc supermoto. I know you can supermoto the Honda 450 but damn the service intervals are nuts.

Yes! Really don't understand that "gap". My DRZ has the typical exhaust, intake, jetting, and sprocket mods and it still feels very tame. Fun, but tame. Something with 10-20 more horses would be so sweet...

just a couple of things tbh
I feel this... I love the t7 but I still want another supermoto... I keep looking at the Honda 450s but as others know the intervals are awful if you ride it a lot...

Almost makes me want to find a cheap drz again lmao.

What bikes have long intervals? That Versys is coming up on a valve adjustment that looks like a long project just to get to the top of the engine. Might roll thru it and deal with it this winter.
My winter projects for this season are stacking up. :anonymous:

I think most that aren't race bred are. The CRF450 is every 800 miles. I think most are 5K or more.
