I don't know the official name but I'd call it a fender brace.

If that has failed from rust I hope you'll carefully inspect the rest of your frame!

Edit: just looked at your other posts. You have an unsafe vehicle. That brace isn't worth replacing until the whole frame is replaced.

    Hey Clearwater.

My older post, I had that fixed for $400 by a CWB welder. Cut out and replaced.
He didn’t see any other issues with the frame. I had a motor vehicle inspection done once that was fixed and was fine and signed off.

That bracket rusting off is probably from road salt, as I’m in an environment that uses it 6 - 7 months of the year.

Thank you for your reply! I’ll try and track down the bracket.

    Cheers!

I replaced my two braces this year. I just bent a 1 inch galvanized steel bar (might of been 4/3 inch?) to mimic the shape of the brace, drilled out the holes and cut the top part of the existing brace to sandwich everything together. Bolts broke so I needed to remove the pressed steel part from the bed with a bit of convincing and a bit of heat from a torch.

I do a lot of salt water activities, so a lot of things tend to get replaced with stainless parts, if I can help it. If your truck will see more salt, see if you can fab a SS bracket.

    minor tweaks
I was going to suggest that same fix, no way I'd drop the coin for such a simple part on a older truck with that much rust.
