Anyone selling an intermediate shaft for my 2.4 2Wd RWD.

(power steering, no tilt, column shift. )
I believe part number is 4526035050

mine has a lot of play and I can’t find a replacement bushing for the intermediate shaft my truck takes. Please help. Or please help with other options I may have.

Can’t find one anywhere. As most are discontinued. Smh ‍♂️

Lots of folks will tack-weld the intermediate shaft to take the play out - this does somewhat undermine its ability to collapse in the event of a crash, but a tack-weld isn't all that strong, so how much of a safety penalty there is is open to debate.

So I’ve lead to believe my lower intermediate shaft with the u joints and rubber grommet that attach to the splines of the steering rack are worn out and causing my steering to have play.

Some ppl mentioned a tac weld trick but idk where i could tac weld on my layout of steering.

Attached are some pictures of my layout for reference.

and YES I know my rubber groumet coming through the firewall is torn.

Yeah me and my go to mechanic diagnosed it and confirmed it’s a worm out intermediate shaft. No issues with the power steering rack or steering wheel shaft.
