I'm running a Moroso Pan evac set up !! , the blue hose attaches to the valve cover breather and to the header collector were a diverter valve is inserted into the header collector

I'm running a Moroso Pan Evac system were a hose from each valve cover breather to a diverter valve welded into each header collector . A pan evac allows a tighter ring seal in ea cyl

At one point, I believe Moroso had a belt-driven vacuum pump kit specifically for crankcase evacuation. It seemed racers used it for a while but it became just another thing to break and wasn't worth the extra expense and hassle. Anyway, back to how K&N filters destroy engines in 10,000 miles.

However long they last, it would be the last thing I would put on a truck that has a MAF sensor. Incidentally, YEARS ago, I worked for a company that looked into buying them.

    1. They typically don't filter very well.
    2. They are oil type filters. When the oil gets on the MAF sensor, it screws up the reading by the computer. I know one fellow that was stranded as he didn't know how to reset the computer to get it started again after he cleaned the sensor.

    Just my personal pref.

K&N denys this but I had one on my Taco for a few years and found I had to clean a number of times. To each their own. :)

So no inside info or actual info, just your opinion. It sounded like you had some good info bummer. This conversation is always just random opinions and I was hoping for some data.

Their entire business model is built around convincing people that holding a filter under some running water for a couple minutes is going to magically separate dirt and dust particles from the filter media

"Look honey, there's some dirty water going down the sink, I can see it! My filter is clean now!"

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I've had one in since day one. Haven't had to clean the MAF once. Those that have problems don't know how to properly oil the filter. As for filtering, I wish I had pictures of my filter of my race buggy after a dusty race.

    Believe what you wish.

lol Have to give them credit at least for sending you something!

This thread is turning into a K&N filter debate like the other thousands that plague the internet, please guys, please. If you want to run one, you will. If you don’t, you won’t.
