Those pics are with everything on and high beams. Lol.. The fogs are only turned on with high beams. I do use them occasionally on these back roads with low beams tho, and have only been flashed like once or twice. Then the morimoto supercharged high beams give em a split second retina scorching.
These are the fogs by themselves with low beams

Ok, I’ll bite, did a recent upgrade to the Barcelona Red and added Siless 80 mil (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BLSP8JV) and liner to all 4 doors and front floorboards. I am SSD right ear (deaf), and yes, it made a huge difference. My theory is, the sound dampening changes the frequency of the highway road noise to a lower frequency that I can’t hear, thereby making it easier to hear at highway speeds.
Was worth the time and money for me.

@NightProwler & @Willy Lump Lump thank you for the pics and the heads up. I already know the install is going to be a PITA, but I think I'm gonna go ahead and order the kit.

I have to change my serpentine belt, all my gear oil, and I have to drop my oil pan and probably replace my oil pickup tube gasket (cold start rattle), and it's time for transmission fluid drain/refill. I'll have spark plugs to do in another 10-15k as well along with coolant.....

With all these maintenance items due and a new set of tires to buy i might was well get something cool that actually might serve a purpose and I will benefit from using.

Thanks to both of you for the pics .. it really convinced me to move ahead with the mod.

That’s a couple days work, haven’t heard of the rattle issue. My 2nd gen never had any issues with that on the 2trfe

Got more done on the home brew aluminum skid plate. Think it might be too close to the diff Easy enough to add some spacers back in though IMG_8684.jpg

Luckily the hard part is done mounting this plate. The rest is connecting the dots to the front crossmember and adding a bunch of gussets
I was planning on driving all of Padre Island so depending on how hot it is I might cut that part short.
Everything else is short drives or driving early morning or at night.
Since there's always a breeze on Padre Island, you'll probably be comfortable running with the windows down.
If you exit from the island into Flour Bluff (south end of Corpus), at the first exit on the mainland there is an old vehicle washdown station that you can run your vehicle through to wash off the sand and sea salt.

Yesterday installed the Auxbeam 820 along with Diode Dynamic ditch lights mounted on Cali Raised low profile brackets. Made my own tray for the control box and relay. Was able to easily wire up existing lights and have room to add. This morning installed RekGen mud flaps then washed her up for the week. In November heading to Big Bend. Looking forward to some of the back trails. IMG_7506.jpg IMG_7494.jpg IMG_7495.jpg IMG_7508.jpg IMG_7499.jpg

I really should just buy a low mileage 2023 4x2 that I baby, keep the mileage low, and keep it like new.

Those TRD wheels look so good with the color matching.
