I’m looking to lift my truck, purely for aesthetics as it’s only 2wd. What’s the best way to lift it and still have it ride good? 2” in the front and 3” in the back? Or 3 and 3? Spacers? Blocks? ‍♂️ and what’s the biggest tire you can put on?

    Thanks.

Opinions will vary widely. Lifting a Prerunner is the same as lifting a 4wd truck. The front control arms are the same so you have the same limitations, except you dont have to worry about ripping front CV boots as you dont have them. The front control arms only have so much movement, so 3" is about the physical maximum you can lift without going with a drop bracket style lift. The more you lift the less downtravel you will have. So it can get very harsh going over bumps and speed bumps.

Shocks vary from firm road handling of Bilsteins 5100s, to soft couch mode of Kings. other brands are Dobinsons, toytec, elka, icon, fox, king, and some other smaller brands.

Best is an opinion, price is easy to discuss.

Spacer lifts have lots of problems since they will overextend the shocks and can cause shock failures. They are cheap though.

Rear leaves can have spacers, or add a leafs, or complete pack repalcements. Price is on that same scale. I always suggest Icon RXT leaf packs. You can adjust them depending on how you install them and they nearly always get great reviews. I have a set and I like it a lot. Deaver leafs are on the high end next to Alcans (which are not straightforward to order)
