I didn't even think about the time, but I was a good 45 mins early for 11:17. If I had and was close to that time, I would have waited.

I did pull over and turned the engine off trying to keep the temp from getting higher while I was getting my phone out. I barely got the pic taken in time.

I've had this habit for years, pretty much since cellphone cameras were a thing. I probably miss more good combinations than I see, and this was certainly one of my better hands. My Papa and Uncle Joe and I used to share them with each other, see who could come up with the best hand. It's hard to beat a 4 of kind.:D

Yea, totally different weather today. Threw some ribs on the PitBoss and was nice not having the temp shoot above target!

Went up into the attic to check on how dried up things are getting. To my surprise it was all the same. Now what the heck! :annoyed:

    Well shiii...

The threads have probably been cracked for a long time, but whenever I was moving things a couple days ago I guess it cracked worse. Still dripping so I'm gonna try some marine epoxy, but am not hopeful. Looks like a $10K new unit is in my future :goingcrazy:

Typically those two ports are to the same drainage.
I’d put a hose clamp on the old, use PVC glue and tighten with a plug in it. Then use the other port for your drainage.

    This photo speaks volumes.

On the surface just a random happening.

    However

There is more in that sky than just sun and clouds.

That was put there for you to see & share. :fistbump:

The one beside it has a slight hump to it, but that might be a viable option. Use the water proof epoxy on the threads as dope and use the other side. I'll pick up some materials tomorrow and see what I can do.

That is cool, looks great. :101010:

I could do that with 100 sq/ft of film and a full day -- and a full garbage can. :anonymous:

I could try a lot of things before spending $10K for a bad fitting.

Time for the big show fellers.

Long suffering readers might not be surprised I drove 447 miles round trip to get another 1966 Ford.

    20250817_183925.jpg

This one is a top of the range LTD model, with the amazingly styled (to me at least  ) one year only interior.

    20250818_115712.jpg

I have read that the seat fabric cost $18/yard - huge money 60 years ago.

The rocket exhaust tail lights are one of my favorites.

    20250818_115821.jpg

This car was built in Mahwah, NJ which is also where I went to get it.

Rusty.. that thing is amazing! I vote that you put all your other projects on hold and bring her back to life! She's sexy and with a little TLC you'd be cruising for ice cream and getting all the looks!

I hope you got all 4 hubcaps too!

Edit: I think this deserves it's own thread so we can follow along!

Well, all isn't as it may seem...

The car went off the road in 1978 and apparently sat in a garage for about 40 years.
Owner #2 bought it and it sat, outside unfortunately, for about 8 years.
Owner #3 bought it this March.

He was a heck of a nice fellow but not really much of a Wrenchman. He intended to do a refresh of the brakes & such and drive it -- and then discovered the engine (352) was locked up. :(

He and a (equally challenged) friend removed the engine and lost a bunch of parts for the air conditioner, etc along the way.

He told me "I got in way over my head."

On the positive the floors and even better the frame (always a problem with these) are way better than average. It has all the trim & interior and 3 of the 4 hubcaps. ;)

I'm not much of a thread guy, I just stay here in the shop with my friends. :fistbump:
