    Hi everyone,

I got a 2" lift up front and 1" in the rear. I just ordered 285/70/17 tires and new wheels with a -12 offset. Has anyone successfully run this set up without having to do a CMC or BMC? Maybe minor plastic trimming. Would like some suggestions. Thanks.

I bet no because of the offset but good luck as you're going to cut!

Thanks. Appreciate the feedback. I have the tires and wheels coming in next week. Hoping not to do a CMC.

I’m looking forward to seeing your stance. Let me know how it goes cause this is the exact setup metrics I was looking to run.

Lots of variables, but in my experience you will need a CMC, *maybe* with a bang on alignment with some extra castor, but I’d be willing to bet you’re gonna rub at full stuff. 17x9 -12 does look good though in my opinion, but I’m biased.

    Hey Bro,

Sorry for the delay. No CMC chop necessary, just light triming in the wheel well with my dremel. See updated pics wheels and tires. Added decals too. Post some pics of your updated Taco too! Thanks

Your ask is not factoring in the exact wheel size (width) and tire, as this does make a difference. A KO2 and a nitto for example can be very different sizes. Same goes for a 7” wide wheel and a 8.5” wide wheel.

I’m running that lift setup with 17x8.5 wheels with -10 offset on 285/70/17s. Other than some very minor plastic trimming I get by 99% of the time with no rub. Go to a shop that truly knows how to do an alignment on lifted vehicles… this will make as difference as well given they can push the wheel as far forward as possible.

Off roading I’ll get some rubbing, but really none to speak of on the street.

The question I asked when I started this thread was already answered by me. I'm running 17x9 wheels with a -12 offset and BF Goodrich KO3's. As shown in the pictures above. There was a slight rubbing in the front wheel wells but all I had to do was trim some plastic and it solved the issue. I am assuming if I off road there will probably be some rubbing.

What's the backspacing on the wheels, if you don't mind me asking?

It looks pretty tough to me!
