Looking for a decently inexpensive horn replacement for my stock horn. it's not broken or anything, I just don't feel like it can get the attention of people like the horn of a newer truck can as the stock horn only measures 100 Decibels. I use the horn to avoid accidents, but in areas with heavy traffic or vehicles with loud sound systems, most people don't even hear the horn or don't care enough.

After some research it’s best to use the correct 12v wiring harness for these horns, I found this,
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/363070503489
Way easier and you get full power to the horns, you will have to connect 2 wires to the stock wiring harness though(Edit, actually 1 wire to the stock harness and the other to ground). It’s pretty easy, lots of videos out there.

Ford truck or larger suv, some cars. They have two horns on one bracket. With an easy to work with harness.

They are very loud and very cheap if you an pick up a set from the junkyard.

Trying to justify buying this, would you think this would cut through someone's vehicle even if their volume is up? And how would you rate the comparison of it to the stock horn?

It’s not even Friday, for real. The amount of time it will take for me to look for the remote and try to figure which button to press, the use of the horn will no longer be needed. Just saying.

    HUGE DIFFERENCE
turns that single horn 'beep' sound into a much louder dual horn 'GET OFF YOUR PHONE AND DRIVE' sound

Imo, these horns blow doors on the stock horn. 2 horns, one high and one low, when hooked up to the battery w/the proper harness as I suggested(relay and fuse)they get full power and make the stock horn sound like the roadrunner. Plenty loud like rally car style. Also gives a certain look through the grille if you can mount them evenly. It’s a nice upgrade.

Decades ago I was having near-miss after near-miss with my apparently invisible VW Jetta. A pair of air horns behind the grille -- the ones I had were Bosch, back when stuff like that was still made in Europe-- fixed the problem beautifully. Seriously attention-getting.

I still have 'em. I've thought about putting them on my Gen 1 just for fun. Italian-made compressor and horns (probably FIAMM) and German-made relays. Mine looks a lot like this current offering:

Hey thanks, I just hooked ‘em up last week, they sound even better than they look, nice upgrade from the stock horn and the harness makes it way easier but there is a couple of extra things to do to connect it to your stock horn harness(which is on the passenger side) so it works at the steering wheel. So, after you connect everything on the battery side(+,ground, and mount the relay)and run all the wires to the horns you’re gonna be left with a very short power source cord that’s red and black together with 2 single connectors, male and female. I cut those off, connected one of these to the black wireA273FF19-F32F-4C1B-87B2-07191BCA98B4.png and ran it back and mounted it to my battery ground bolt. Then butt spliced some 12g red wire(2ft or so) to the other red wire and ran that to the stock connector that looks like this.
    39EA527D-3BA8-4C81-9B46-DE736545556D.jpg
Then I put one of these on the red wire and that plugs nicely into the female connector.A2CF52BB-1AB2-4830-8824-071CCA703613.png
And BLAMO! BLASTING HORNS! Now I can’t take credit for figuring this out, after some searching I found this in a random video and it worked. Very stoked!
