    99 taco n wanted to re-paint the 2nd hand fabtech lift before installing....any suggestions???

    Hello!

    My two cents:

    1) Paint on suspension components, even if you use the best most expensive hammer tone, rattle can paint, is going to last weeks. Maybe months. If all you do is paint them.

    2) Depending on the restoration or project you are undertaking, I would personally be much more inclined to have all the parts soda-blasted or bead-blasted down to bare metal. And then treat them with a thorough covering of FluidFilm, Cosmoline, or Woolwax.

    FUNCTION over FORM.

    If you want a purple or yellow or whatever color lift kit, so be it. Life liberty pursuit of happiness. I'd rather have a lift kit that I know I can adjust, service, wrench on, etc... because it was prepped properly before re-use and treated against corrosion than having a painted lift kit.
