I even told him not to be to worried about it, as that area was set to be fixed at my June session, but he shook his head, “it’s a challenge for me!” With a big ol smile.

lmao I don’t know if it was easier or harder given people with out tattoos they can just pull back together and don’t have to worry about lining it up

Time for a new one, will be getting Sequoia Sempervirens tattooed on my inner forearm most likely in scientific font like this:

Location is not 100% but left chest over my heart is another possibility.

I just got started on what is going to end up as a full back piece. It’s inspired by traditional Japanese samurai, but Boba Fett. There will be a Sarlac and a bunch of Storm trooper corpses to fill in the rest and cover up the 35 year Conflict tattoo. IMG_7406.jpg

For sure life gets in the way. I was supposed to get this started in February. Had to last minute cancel my flight to Austin. Thankfully my Friend/Tattooer comes up every year for the Seattle convention.

Between the world getting messed up, my artist having a baby, then her own shop opening delayed a year..yikes..not even to speak of my side of life.

Have you tried Saniderm? It removed all itching for me
My ribs, bruhhh. Also elbow(s) and inner arm. I think back shouldn't be so bad?
Imo after spending all the money, bumpers, suspension, etc. not worth it. I wish my truck was stock and had a beater Bronco or something to take offroad

I'm allergic to Saniderm. It causes rashes so I don't use it. I've used DermShield with success but it didn't lesson the itching after the second skin was removed after a few days. It's just my back that was a problem, no other tattoo I have itched as my back did during healing

I have a ton of ideas for this winter and we're starting to roll into non-sun season (I don't want to be out of commission for swimming, bug spray/swampy adventures, sun screen, etc for weeks at a time in the summer :D ). Easier to stomach wearing long sleeves and not swimming when it's 12 degrees outside and dark at 4:45.

Dragonfly, dirty socks, Dolemites to finish out my left arm roman gods piece, couple birds.

I tried to type this a couple times and didn't love how it came out but I'ma just let the word vomit flow: Don't. Okay, DO, but I'll be a voice saying don't. You'll get a lot of people (myself included) saying yes, do (subject matter aside). But you're 52 and made it this far without. You like seeing tattoos on other people, I do too, that doesn't necessarily mean you need to have one. It's not some cool kids club that you need to get a tattoo to be in. I just went to a tattoo convention and saw a ton of people without any tattoos, just enjoying the scene. By and large, the crowd was heavily tattooed, BUT there were plenty without. So you'll get a lot of support, and by far I don't want to be seen as gate keeping - I encourage you to do what you want - but I'll be a voice of support and hesitation I guess.

Aquaphor? I've always used that, worked really well for me. I get those food service gloves to apply it. I haven't done my back so I can't speak to that specifically but a handful of arm pieces and more to come, aquaphor has been a friend to me. It's relatively cheap, I just get more each time and don't keep the old stuff around to rub into open healing wounds.

No, Aquaphor keeps the tattoo too moist. I usually just stick with Lubriderm or Mad Rabbit.

All this tattoo talk has me itching to get back under the needle! :rimshot:
