Birthday Gift to the Tacoma Community – Free Tune & Calibration Update

Hey everyone,
I wanted to give something back to the community. My birthday just passed, so think of this as a gift from me to you. Normally this would cost $350+, but I’m sharing it here for free because I know not everyone has that kind of money to throw at a tune.

This is the YW Clone Version 1 tune along with the matching CUW calibration update file for the 2016–2020 Tacoma 3.5L V6 (2GR-FKS).

What You Need to Know
ECU ID: 89663-04B04

If your ECU isn’t already on this calibration, update it first with Techstream using the CUW file (T-0034-18 - 04B04.cuw).

Once updated, you can load the tune file YW-Clone.vfc in VF Tuner.

Always back up your original stock file before flashing.

If you’ve swapped ECUs, make sure your VIN and immobilizer are synced in Techstream.

This is designed for stock trucks. If your truck is modified, results may vary.

Quick Techstream CUW Flash Steps

1. Connect Techstream + Toyota cable (OBDII).


2. Open Techstream, select your vehicle.


3. Go to Calibration Update Wizard (CUW).


4. Browse to the file T-0034-18 - 04B04.cuw and flash it.


5. Once complete, confirm your ECU now shows Calibration ID 89663-04B04.



Then you’re ready to load the YW-Clone.vfc file in VF Tuner.
