Just bought a 96 Tacoma 2.4l with 171,800 miles from a used car dealership. Drove fine during the test drive but the next day the check engine light came on with code P0171. It didn’t affect drivability at all but I did have the hard to start when hot on my initial fueling a few days ago. I checked for vacuum leaks with propane and cleaned the maf. I erased the code and it came back on 20-30 miles later. Poured a bottle of Berryman b12 I had sitting around into about half tank and later on that night this was the live dataIMG_1190.jpgFilled up today and was surprised the light hadn’t came on while I was at work, so I decided to take another look at the data once I got home from work. IMG_1199.jpg Dirty injectors or somewhere in the fuel system was the culprit I believe. Anyone who has this code should check the fuel side really well once you verify no vacuum leaks I would jump straight into the fuel side. Hope this helps someone. Peace.
