    Hello,

I recently replaced the sway bar links on my 2001 toyota tacoma. I drove it around for about 2 days afterwards and everything felt smooth. Yesterday I was driving and hit a little bump in the road which caused my front end to dip and my tire began to screech. Sway bar links seem to be intact but when applying the brakes the steering wants to cut right. additionally now whenever hitting anything in the road like a manhole cover it sounds like metal banging coming from the front driver side wheel.

Any tips or suggestions are gratefully appreciated

Hate to say it but could be anything from worn out suspension, bushings, to LCA.

Had a front wheel bearing go out and will only make “metal to metal” noise when the tire bounce.

Typically when applying brakes if it pulls to the right it would be an issue with the right side front brakes.

Took off both tires and found that my driver side rotor broke, Replaced both rotors but when I bolt up the caliper on the passenger side the bolts dont wanna line up and when they do and you get the screws in the caliper will no longer freely spin. Brake pads are new and caliper was squeezed down so that inside is flat when reinstalling. Im guessing wheel bearings but before i take it to a shop due to them being pressed in on my tacoma, is there anything else i should try?

That’s why your brakes were pulling to the right no brake on left side cause broken rotor.

These trucks have two size diameter rotors. Are you sure you have the correct diameter for your truck?

i believe so, only the passenger side rotor is locking up now when the caliper is reinstalled but driver side moves fine.

Check your boxes make sure you have the same part number. You may have the correct for the left and the larger diameter for the right.

It might be a good idea to pull the right side rotor off and compare it to the one you removed. While you are at it just double check how the caliper is mounted.
