Pull ring to pull up the middle while inside. Silicone is to prevent snags.

Good idea! I ran across another thread a while back that mentioned the DeWalt box size that fit in the AC rear footwell, so I'll measure the bed slides to see what size totes fit the width...

To make the Tacoma BamBeds Kit you'll need the following.

    Material:
Two 4x8' sheets of 3/4" thick plywood.
Total material cost: $150-$600 depending on material choice.
We use a high grade birch or bamboo made with waterproof adhesive to prevent delamination in the long term.

    Tools:
    One jigsaw
One router with a 1/4" or 1/8" bit
(Circular saw or table saw is ideal but not needed)

    Time:
    2-8hours depending on skill.

    Key Dimensions:
Each board is approximately 57"x24". Make a paper template for the angled cut at the back of the bed.
The tailgate bulkhead width is 53"
The height of the ledge is 9" (this is how tall the feet should be)

    Best Finish:
My favorite way to finish the boards is with with EVA boat decking foam which provides a comfortable surface to crawl on and really protects the wood as well.
Very easy to apply, just peel and stick. We've got a link and DIY install video to this on our website.

Example on my Tundra (about 2 years of use so far)
