It's funny we gripe about the animals.....we are living in their world, I guess it's really not "our" world or Earth is it?

They are doing the things they have evolved to do.

Insert your hippie quote of choice.

"We Belong to the Earth, it doesn't belong to us."

Edward Abbey - "The love of wilderness is more than a hunger for what is always beyond reach; it is also an expression of loyalty to the earth, the earth which bore us and sustains us, the only paradise we shall ever know, the only paradise we ever need, if only we had the eyes to see."

I just sat in the shade and watched a mess of goldfinches eat on our drying Italian sunflowers. Very neat small beautiful birds, super wary of humans.

Right. The driver had the physical paper permit. The dumbass that printed it was in an office somewhere!

Galileo: "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use".

Also try reading the Summa Theologica and what Thomas Aquinas said, a book that is still used as a reference guide by all major Christian religions. Over 3,000 articles on all kinds of theological concerns. One of the most important and interesting, in my opinion, are the ones describing the differences between belief and knowledge, fact and faith.

True, that's why many people did not want Exxon/Mobil transporting their "Megaload" refinery modules from the Port of Lewiston, Idaho up US12 to US93, then north to I-90E. They did quite a bit of work to that two lane highway up the Lochsa River, a Wild & Scenic River, before hauling "Babe" the test load during the night as far as Lolo Hot Springs, where it stopped with 24/7 guards posted for several years, before the wide loads took the four-lane US95 north to I-90. "Babe" the blue box was then dismantled and hauled away. It was a giant structure, and empty. Homage to Paul Bunyan...
