MT Accumulator Delete Mod (ADM) and BS Thread

It’s pretty easy to bend yourself

or just get firns disc which is even easier.

 

I’d rather have it removed completely and replaced with a line.

Yeah, it’s fine. It’s probably been 55,000 miles. It’s made to do what it does now, hold clutch fluid. I even got the cover back over it. All 4 screws. Flange end wrenches are a must.

 

Oh that’s awesome. I ordered it. I’m assuming it comes with the banjo bolt too?

 

I don’t think there is a banjo. I’m pretty sure it’s a direct fit. It’s been a while.

 

I did the disk, but like a flex line better. I don't notice any real difference with the disk. And just to confirm, a banjo is not needed.

 

You’re saying you noticed more of a difference with the flex line?

 

The pics on page one show a banjo used with the flex line, what am I missin?

 

It’s just another method. There are a lot of ways to go about it. That list has grown since I first looked at it. But mine looks more like this (but a flex line)

 

The link you sent has two female ends, that picture has two male ends. How is that the same?

 

Well. I’m just going off my Amazon history. And the only pic I can give you, looks like this. That red circle; I think you can see the flex hose behind the cover plate.

Yea but I can still feel the accumulator doing its thing during hard/fast shifting. Thats why I want it gone completely

 

So upon further Inspection, maybe the 2 way elbow will work best for me.


that pic is from underneath lookin up I see everyone’s line coming down from the transmission to the accumulator is straight, and mine has a bend entering the accumulator horizontally. Maybe I could still bend and manipulate a hardline?

 

2nd Gens had a different arrangement. Same concept though.

 

Oh okay. Maybe I can get away with a nice Z bend or something.
