Toyo Open Country AT3's. Bfg's are shit and the Coopers are stupidly heavy and loud as hell.

Im a bfg fan boy. Never bought anything different and never let me down. But I'm thinking about switching it up this time. The STT's are really that noticeably heavier than the BFG?

I'm not a big fan of the pattern on the Toyos, I've heard good things too though.

I was a huge BFG fanboy......until they failed me. Not once, not twice, but multiple times both on and off trail. @AllTacosFloat knows my pain with BFG'S as I have told the "final straw" story many times. Here is a link to the story about how BFG broke my heart.

And then the follow up conversation.

Coopers are a very good tire, especially the Pro's . My buddy Rick had them on his truck. If you are regeared they are not that heavy. If you are not, you WILL feel how heavy and sluggish they are in the drivetrain. They are also very aggressive as well......which is phenomenal offroad but for on road purposes they are very loud. The main reason I chose the Toyo AT3'S is because of the Goldie Locks principal. They are quiet on road, they are not too heavy, they are great off road, they are really good in the rain and especially the snow, and the are great for a minimum of 60k miles. I guess it all depends on what you will be using them for, what type of weather, and how you use them.
