That is part of the routine for loading them Travlr. I also load one, put spring pressure on the round then push it down enough to get the next one in...it all works well and hopefully in due time it will be broken in enough to not be an issue

Evening all:

Just received a notice from PENDOT that the lic. plate on my 1999 Chevy truck is over 20 years old and that they are going to issue me a new one. The plate looks like new, but they are going to replace it anyway, now I will need to contact EZ pass and register the new plate with them. In the meantime, it looks like they have already cancelled the old plate and that I need to carry the letter with me in case I would get stopped until the new plate arrives, which also means the EZ pass won't be valid until I register the new plate.

Why can't they issue a tag with the same number, they hopefully cant issue that number to another vehicle or can they...sure would make your life easier Carl if the new tag had your existing number

How come the older I get, the earlier I wake up? Now that I’m retired and free to sleep as late as I want, I wake up at 5am. I long for the days where waking up at 9am seemed early.

Carl: this is MD EZPass info and may not be the same in PA. As long as your plare is registered in your EZPass account, you will be charged accordingly. It is up to you to make the changes. You can either call or make the change yourself to your online account. Easy to do.

In MD the actual plate number can only be issued once regardless of the type of plate issued.

I have to say PA does EZPass better than Ohio. On our recent trip to MI I forgot to put the transponder in my son's truck. PA debited my account right away, my sons truck tag is registered in my EZPass account. Ohio sent me a bill that I foolishly paid online. I should have mailed them a check. The irony is they had to do a lookup of the tag to mail me the bill. Ohio does not embrace technology to get paid quickly by EZPass.
