Well this is a disappointment. An expensive learning experience for sure. Do you have recommendations before this situation gets worse?

The safety inspection was from 2024, this years inspection has not been completed, and I recently got the truck so the safety inspection is next up on my schedule. And no the title change did not require an inspection.

I agree further research would’ve prevented this situation. We live and we learn.

    That's unfortunate.

My guess is the seller dumped the truck because they knew it would fail.

You might call and ask if they'd take it back for a full refund and cross your fingers.

If any friends or family are attorneys you might consult for ideas with them. If the bill of sale you were provided said 'as is' you may well be hosed.

Best wishes for a good resolution.
