A couple days ago I got a code for the egr valve. I started by checking all the lines but everything looked fine so I went ahead and replaced the part and cleared the code. Now when I accelerate I can hear a slight knocking/loud cylinder fire that wasn’t there before. I can’t hear the noise when revving, only when I’m in gear and the engine is moving the weight of the truck. I double checked that I installed everything correctly and the check engine light is still off for now. Any ideas what could be causing this noise. Also if it matters I have a 2.7L 4cyl.
