Greetings. My brother purchased this Taco in Gilbert, AZ in 2015 and used it as a daily driver. He was the second owner and it had 20k ish miles on it. It currently has 164k mi, and I have the unfortunate job of having to sell it because we lost him back in April. He had everything serviced regularly and kept it all filed. Every oil change, tune up, tire rotation, routine maintenance like flushes and brakes/rotors, etc are all documented and were done professionally in Phoenix. This was his baby. The problem is that I have never owned a Tacoma, and a learning that these hold their value more than I thought. Just finding forums like this tell me that I’m not informed enough to know what it is worth. It has 2 brand new BF Goodrich tires on the back and the fronts have around 20k miles on them. Can anyone help me answer what a good ball park would be for listing it for sale? Any help is much appreciated!!!

    I’m sorry for your loss

Can you give more details about the truck? Year, transmission (engine should be the 4 cylinder, but auto or manual) and pictures of the interior, engine bay, the frame, etc? I expect it’s in decent shape if it lived its whole life in Arizona

FYI, this is considered a “5 lug”, which is considerably different than most other Tacomas. 2 wheel drive, different suspension, etc
Nothing wrong with it but just be aware it will be priced less than most Tacomas you see for sale

Gotcha. I never knew there was a difference with the lug count. Is a 6 lug more desirable because it handles more weight, or comes with different suspension or something?

It’s an automatic. I’ll have to check on engine size. The interior is in good shape but the seats have stains so he put seat covers over them. Other than that, no rips tears or cracks anywhere. The ceiling lining looks perfect. If I wasn’t 6’4”, I’d probably keep it but it’s just a little to small for me.

I’ll get more photos. I was only able to get these so far. Thank you for the info. I really appreciate your help.

Should not be any rust. I do however live on a dirt road so it picked up quite a bit of it on the drive home from getting new tires.

Thanks guys. We were thinking right around the same ball park. It sucks to think you’re right on the mark and end up way too high. I appreciate the help. I’ll be posting it in the next day or so.

Sorry for your loss, I'd keep that truck if it were me, you could keep it in the family and even an heirloom, these things will go on and on.......

If you don't have another truck in your family there's always a chance you'll need one.

If not, and you must sell it for financial reasons, don't have the room, etc. I know you said it was a bit tight being 6'4", there may be a way to shorten the seat mounts to allow more room. I bet it sells in an hour if you price it at $13k, parked in a lot by your house.
