New to the forum. A Toyota loyalist who bought a 2023 SR Access Cab V6, and it has met all my needs. Started dripping transmission fluid at rear seal at 26K miles. Bad yoke on front driveshaft u-joint. Dealer orders a new driveshaft, and the delivery estimate has shifted from late August to late September, and they don't sound too confident about that.

Anyone else having crazy delays on Toyota parts orders? At this point, the dealer will have my truck at least 3 months.

Anyone experienced with a Toyota buyback? (time, difficulty, fairness of offer) It'll be 60 days from now for them to even start that process, and I'm 2K miles out of the state lemon law window.

This sucks. I have a loaner, but it's a RAV4. The dealer will swap it with a Tacoma loaner when one comes in, but they expect it back with the bed in "like-new" condition. Defeats the point of a truck!

They aren't going to buy it back.
You are actually doing better than most, you got a loaner.

Buybacks and lemon laws typically only apply to the first 1 year from date of purchase.

Sure, you won't have your truck.
But it will have less miles on it later. As you're putting them on their car/truck while yours is down.
