I put 50 bags of mulch at ~1000lbs and I didn't have any problems. Braking sucked, but I made it home safely.

I’d rather rent a trailer because it's not the suspension that concerns me, its the transmission. I’d rather tow 7800 lbs than carry a 2000 lbs payload in the bed.

    Work in progress...
I would rent, borrow, or commandeer a trailer.

I'm quite sure is was way more than that. I could feel the suspension bottoming out on the short ride home.

Just checking in for fun. I was in a bit of a rush and wanted to do 1 load. I Went straight hillbilly and registered 3190kgs at the scale. 2017 TRD Sport Manual. About 2200lbs of dirt if you take away my 180lbs. Luckily it was only a 15min drive to the landfill (hence I know the scale). Surprisingly the tires didn't look too deflated, and not near the bump stops. Do I win?

    LS1 swap with nitros.
$20 U-Haul trailer. It’s the only way to do these landscape runs.

The worst part is the peep holes get clogged then the water won't drain good. If you put sticks in it make sure theres no leaves and dirt is just a problem to start with. You should put a tarp back there first so it doesn't get dirt all over.
