Nothing major. As of spring 2025 I’m currently trying to repair damage from minor collision
I recently had an accident and fixing some of that damage so figured I would do the serpentine belt and idler pulleys as well. I’ve seen dayco as well as gates but heard it’s a pain. Curious on thoughts and opinions. Also will Likely do thermostat as well and anybody recommend anything other than what Toyota recommends.

OEM. The idlers are a piece of cake, the belt tensioner is the one that’s a pain.

Both Gates and Dayco make decent aftermarket parts. I wouldn't have any reservations about using them. INA too but that's more for euro cars

The idlers are easy, it's the tensioner assembly that is a pain. Gotta partially remove the a/c compressor for access to the bolts

OK thank you. And yeah the only reason I’m gonna do them is because I have my radiator off and my radiator and AC condenser so I have easy access to get in there and I have a slightly rusted power steering line so I’ll probably get all that stuff done well I have access to the whole engine bay.

Yeah I know OEM is the best but what’s that cost about? Probably 400 bucks or so? And have you ever seen that Toyota overstock website? It seems to be all OEM stuff so that would be nice because it’s pretty cheap. I’m probably also going to do some of the other police because it’s only got 83,000 miles but it was sitting for a bit before I bought it I believe and there are a ton of hoses on here that I would like to change. And my maf sensor in bank one and bank two as well, but I’m sure sitting for a while in my exhaust that I recently got a replacement for needs some work

I got the 3 idlers and belt plus all new hardware and washers for $230. I order on this website: https://autoparts.toyota.com/ and pick a dealer close to me. They regularly do 15-25% off with free shipping. If not oem, Bando is the oem supplier for the serpentine belt and can be had for half the price of oem Toyota.
