Knowing nothing about but briefly looking at the Bright Box description, it looks like an extra switch IS needed to run the fogs separately. A universal switch comes with it but it isn't a factory push button type.

 

I don't understand why people don't just run the fogs with the DRLs if they don't want their headlights on

 

That's how 3rd gens are set up....
Can't turn fogs on unless DRL is on...
Maybe it's a 4runner thang.

DRL (w/ or w/out fogs)
DRL + taillight (w/ or w/out fogs)
DRL + headlight + taillight (w/ or w/out fogs)

Does the drl dim when headlights are on? (I'm usually in the truck)

On my Tacoma I used some diodes to make my fog lights able to turn on independently, only cost $20.
I spliced in a Roadmaster 790 Hy-Power Diode so I can run them through the OEM controls but can also turn them on through my auxbeam controller at any time.

Isn’t the point of the brite box so you can run all the lights with the high beams? High, low and fog

 

Changing tucker blades for the half fold.
Folder has to be phased to delta fold and a gazillion pcs have to come out just to change 1 of 5 blades.


Like working on a Tacoma.
