Performance report: Well, the taco gets to stick around for a while. We burned through some gas (very much expected) but we made great time otherwise from DFW to Nashville.

I swear it always performs better after I’ve worked it hard for a bit. Throttle is a little more responsive. Gas mileage is actually a touch better for a while. And gear changes seem to shift up by a few hundred rpm.

S5 all the way and 4th in the hills held its own. Occasional TC unlock to keep speed in the hills, and watching the TC temps let me know when I might need to back off a little.

The itch for a full size didn’t come on like I thought it might. I’ll still end up with one at some point, or a more towing capable suv. But for now, still no reason to trade out of my taco.

Out with the OLD A/C system....$55 in scrap metal. If I would have broke it down, I'd get more but not worth my time and effort. I did that last A/C.

How do y’all deal with the refrigerant collection? Did you have someone disconnect and reclaim? It’s damn near impossible to dispose of a refrigerator or anything with a refrigerant in it here in Texas without paying fees, or having a certified tag for reclaimed refrigerant. I’m assuming those are probably national laws/regulations. But perhaps they are state variances.
