    Hey All! New member

    I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4X4, 4.0L, Auto, 5ft bed, Impluse red pearl. Currently 210k miles

    Mods:
-Rough Country 2 inch lift kit (struts in front, blocks and shocks in the rear)
    -Falken AT3W LT 265/75/R16
    -TRQ Front suspension rebuild kit
    -TRQ Upper control arms
    -TRQ Wheel bearings and Axles
-HF pod lights, custom hood mounts

I have actually been really impressed with all TRQ parts and the RC 2 inch lift kit, for a budget based OEM+ build its been super reliable and the parts have held up fantastically after around 75k miles of DD and abuse. I have had to replace wheel bearings, axles, transfer case actuator, drive shaft u joints and related parts due to mileage and type of use, but the lift kit has held up SOLID.

After doing some previous reading on here i see that its popular opinion you don't need extended length UPA's for a two inch lift kit, which is why I didn't install UCA's and the ball joints lasted 75k miles (no idea if that's a typical life span for them or not with harder than usual use).
75k miles of daily driving, off-roading (drifting, mud, rocks, snow, small jumps), and towing a few times.

    Questions:
I installed the RC lift kit and TRQ front suspension rebuild kit with TRQ stock replacement control arms at around 135k miles in 2022, now at 210k 2025 my upper ball joints are wasted and need replacement.

I am wondering if its worth it to upgrade UCA's with ball joints to get extra life/better suspension geometry on my next set of ball joints until its time for a new lift kit?

Does the benefit of a better suspension geometry and a little more FS droop while off-roading worth it in the shorter term?

I haven't touched the lower ball joints since I installed the lift kit.. should i replace those while I do the upper joints?

Before the next set of ball joints goes out i plan on upgrading a 3-4inch lift mid/long travel kit and want to know if its in my best interest to upgrade to UCA's meant for 2-4 inches of lift and keep the arms once i get a new lift kit?? Or should i just replace the ball joints and wait to do the UPA's once I get the new lift kit?
